Meet Our Staff

Scheduling Coordinator

I am a Skagit Valley native and a Mount Vernon High School graduate. I attended Skagit Valley College and received my Washington State STARS Certificate in Early Childhood Education. I transitioned into dental assisting in 2004. I am a registered dental assistant and received my Certified Dental Assisting degree from Bellingham Technical College.

You will see me at the front desk as the Scheduling Coordinator.

I have two beautiful girls named Tianna and Ava. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family as well as scrapbooking, shopping, playing softball and traveling.

Orthodontic Assistant

Go Jayhawks! I was born in Lawrence, Kansas, home of the Kansas Jayhawks and the 2008 NCAA National Basketball Champions. If you couldn’t tell, I am a huge college basketball fan!

I was introduced to dentistry by my sister, Dr. Keri Halgren, who trained me to work as a dental assistant in 2001. I am a registered dental assistant and have worked as an orthodontic assistant since 2005. I primarily work with patients as a clinical assistant, but I also spend much of my time making retainers, orthodontic models, and your custom braces trays.

I have two wonderful dogs named Chevy and Rausch. They are American Pit Bull Terriers and they are very friendly. The keys to good Pit Bulls is a good owner and socializing the dogs. They are my “kids,” and I can usually be found on sunny days with them at a dog park in Bellingham, Anacortes or Sedro Woolley.

I enjoy watching and playing all types of sports. I played basketball in college - a Point Guard at Emporia State University, and recently started coaching the 5th and 6th grade girls at Immaculate Conception Regional School. I also love to travel and have visited Spain, Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland and Greece.

My parents still live in Kansas, but much of my family has been transplanted to Washington, so I get to spend a lot of quality time with my brother, sister and nieces.

Treatment Coordinator

Welcome! I am a lifelong resident of our beautiful Skagit Valley. My beloved husband, Mike, and I are blessed with two sons, Kevin and Jason; they are our pride and joy! The baby of our family is our precious puppy dog, Coco; we have so much fun with him! I love music, reading and spending time with my family.

I have been a member of the Halgren Orthodontics family since 2007. I love meeting with patients, building relationships and helping them to achieve their best smile. I have received great reward and fulfillment caring for each of our patients. It is a privilege to be a part of each patient’s smile transformation!

Financial Coordinator

I was born and raised in Arlington and moved to the beautiful Skagit Valley in 1987. I am a registered dental assistant and have been an orthodontic assistant since 1987. In 2010, I became the Financial Coordinator.

I am very busy chauffeuring my three kids - Connor, Lily and Carter - from school to practice and back home on a daily basis. I love watching my kids participate in their sports and activities.

I have three dogs: a Dachshund named Rusty, an Irish Setter named Ruby, and a yellow Labrador named Honey. I enjoy camping, taking vacations to sunny places, spending time at the beach, and being with my friends.

Orthodontic Assistant

I am from a small town in Michoacan, Mexico called El Capire. I was seven years old when I moved to the United States. I am fluent in Spanish and English.

In 2009, I graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School. During high school I did Running Start at Skagit Valley College and volunteered at elementary schools in a program that educated young children about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

After graduating, I received scholarships, one from Skagit Valley College called Champions of Diversity and another from WorkSource. These helped me to pay for all of my schooling. I attended Skagit Valley College for some of my prerequisites, then attended Bellingham Tech where I earned my AAS in Applied Science and my Dental Assisting Certificate.

My husband Juan Pablo and I have a one year old baby boy named Juan Isaiah, whom we call Isaiah. I also have a Yorkie Poodle - Shih Tzu mix named Princess. It was nice finding her because of my allergies.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my son, going shopping, and dancing.
